Doctor Kim attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in Los Angeles. In addition to his doctorate and bachelor’s degrees, Dr. Kim has also earned a Master’s of Business Administration and a Master’s of Science. He has also taken additional courses required for licensure in the fields of dentistry and oral surgery. Dr. Kim is a proud and active participant in the American Dental Association and the Korean American Dental Society.
Doctor Kim’s mission is to take care of his patients as if they were his own family. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kim is an avid golfer. He and his wife are proud parents to two sons. As current empty-nesters, Dr. Kim and his wife enjoy going on long walks and are eagerly looking forward to one day being proud grandparents!
Dr. Swenson grew up in Utah County, he attended Pleasant Grove and Mountain View high schools. After high school he served a mission with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in France and Switzerland. After his mission, Dr. Swenson attended BYU and earned a B.S. degree in Biochemistry. He then moved to Richmond, Virginia to attend VCU dental school. While there he met his wife, Andrea, as she returned from her mission in Colorado. They were married in the Washington, DC temple. Dr. Swenson graduated from Dental school in 2015 with his DDS degree, honors from Quintessence Publications for his research in Oral Cancer, and honors from the American Academy of Periodontology for his work in Periodontics.
Dr. Franco is a veteran of the United States Navy where he served as an officer. He received his degree in Flight Operations from Westminster College, DDS from the University of Utah and completed his residency in Endodontics at Boston University. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association and Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association. Dr. Franco has a passion for educating others about patient care and the incredibly interesting world of endodontics. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, swimming and learning how to play the piano and electric guitar.
Dr. Shaun Heward was born and raised in Sandy, Utah. He attended Alta High School and completed his undergraduate at University of Utah. During this time he worked as a dental laboratory technician making crowns and bridges. He then moved to Lexington, Kentucky where he completed dental school at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Following dental school, he began medical school at the University of Michigan Medical School. While at the University of Michigan, he also completed his internship in general surgery, residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and was a chief resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Heward has extensive surgical training in corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), tumors/cysts of the jaws, face trauma, dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, cleft lip and palate, face reconstruction and bone grafting.
He is delighted to have moved back to his home state of Utah and working with Platinum Dental Services. He also has a passion for serving others abroad and continues to treat less fortunate patients on mission trips overseas. When Dr. Heward is not at work he enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, biking, shooting, gardening, wood working and cooking.
Dr. Steven Prince grew up in Arizona and attended BYU for his undergraduate training. While in Utah he learned to love the mountains and snowboarding. After graduating from BYU he returned to Arizona for dental school.
While in dental school, Dr. Prince opted for a dual major route and received his D.M.D. and completed a Master of Public Health degree from A.T. Still University. Subsequently, he completed his orthodontic training at A.T. Still University and earned a Doctorate in Health Education (DHEd). While in dental school he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, which is the dental scholastic honor society. Upon completion of his orthodontic training, Dr. Prince went through the rigorous process of becoming a board-certified orthodontist
After practicing for 8 years in Arizona he was excited to return to Utah. Dr. Prince loves orthodontics because he has witnessed how improving a smile can dramatically increase the self-confidence in his patients. He believes that the best part of orthodontics is getting to know his patients and their families during the course of treatment. He loves to attend continuing education courses to keep up with the most current techniques.
When Dr. Prince is not in the clinic, he is spending time with his wife, Anne, and their three great kids: Kelsey, Brinley, and Garrett. The kids were born and raised in Arizona so they have enjoyed getting to play in the snow and learning how to ski! The Prince family also love to play sports, hike, go to the lake, and ride bikes.
